Through the study of international practices and institutional consultation with Civil Society as well as public bodies, the EngAge program presents an inclusive and comprehensive strategy for older people volunteering actions.
EngAge not only promotes the value of voluntary work, but at the same time offers the tools for the implementation of the program, through the creation of a platform between supply (older people who want to participate in the program) and demand (organizers who can offer voluntary work positions, such as municipalities, Non-Governmental Organizations, etc.).
In addition, the EngAge program trains local government administrators as well as Non-Governmental Organizations in the use of the mediation platform. Moreover, it implements nationwide communication campaigns to inform and raise awareness of the target group.
